My Homeland

Aloha! I like to refer to my second homeland as Hawaii. You are probably thinking I am Hawaiian at this point, but unfortunately I am not. (I wish!) I fell in love with Hawaii the first time I visited, which was back in the elementary school days. I am lucky enough to go there as much as I do because my family owns a timeshare in Maui, and somehow managed to stay for two weeks this year! We went for spring break this year at the end of March, and it was amazing! If you haven't been there, I recommend visiting Maui! It is the most calming, beautiful, cultured, and friendly place. I really do feel at home when I visit. This spring break we spent a lot of time on the beach, in the ocean catching waves, eating at new places (sushi for days!), whale watching, and lots of family time! Can't complain, right?! I love the island personality where everyone is so friendly and laid back. I also am very interested in the island design for all the surf shops! Here are some fun pictures we took!

Unfortunately, we did lose my Grandma Bernas while we were in Maui, which cut our trip short a little bit. The support from all my family and friends overwhelmed me, and I am so thankful to have such amazing people in my life. I know she is watching over us, and I think of her every moment of every day. She was my best friend, my number one fan, and had a smile that would light up any room. Love you forever, Gamma. <3

My Gamma.

There is a little update on my life! It's reaching the end of my senior year of college, so you can imagine how crazy it has been! I feel like I am a chicken running around with its head cut off, but I know it will all be worth it! Can't believe I only have about a month left until graduation! Who knew time would fly by this fast? :)
